NECK/SHOULDER PAIN
How to Quickly and Easily END Neck/Shoulder pain and avoid steroid injections, Painkillers and the need to wear suppports...
Why Neck/shoulder pain?
Neck/Shoulder pain is a common problem that can affect us in various ways and can impact heavily on our physical ability and quality of life. This is mainly because of the amount of movement and stress that occur in the joints in this region of our body as a result of their frequent use, the many muscles, nerves and vessels that connect the neck and shoulders in this region and into the arms and hands.
What Secondary problems Can Develop if the Root Problem is left untreated for long
Pain in this region will not get better by doing nothing. Painkillers can help reduce the pain but only for a short time as it will not tackle the root cause of your Pain. Yes! Painkillers with all their side-effect can give you short-term relief but at what cost? If the root cause of your problem is not treated, pain in this area of the body can easily alter the posture of the neck in relation of the rest of the spine below and in relation to the shoulder complex creating even bigger problem. As a result, it is very important to identify the root cause of any pain in this region just like any other part of the body and treat it as Quickly as possible, as the longer it lingers the more likely the person begins to compensate and adopt awkward positions and posture that seem to relieve the pain but in the long run will add to the problem due to the muscle imbalance that develops - where certain groups of muscles in this region become weak with other groups of muscles tightening up.
...Wait that is not all!
This imbalance can begin to irritate other structures within this region such as nerves, as this region is awashed with nerves from the neck into the arms. Over time, as the tight muscles become tighter and the weakened muscles become weaker, it begins to tell on the joints within this region. The joints in this region are affected this way because, the shoulder which is designed for movement and therefore a very shallow joint is only supported by soft tissue such as ligaments and muscles. Once these muscles begin to weaken the shoulder complex loses its major support which means significant increase in pain in the Neck/shoulder complex both in the joints due to not being well supported anymore and in the soft tissue within this region as the ligaments in the absence of the muscle support become overstressed and unable to cope in their role to support the joints in this area in the absence of muscle support, this results in some more pain.
